Syrup lovers, mark your calendars! The 58th Annual Vermont Maple Festival is back April 25–27, 2025, bringing with it three unforgettable days of sticky-sweet fun, local flavor, live music, and pure maple joy in downtown Saint Albans.

Whether you’re a lifelong Vermonter or a curious first-timer, this is your golden (and deliciously amber) ticket to celebrate all things maple.

There are too many exciting events to list, but here’s a sampling of what’s in store.

The 4th Annual Best Maple Menu Contest

Let the syrup showdown begin! Starting April 1, foodies across northern Vermont are invited to dine, judge, and devour their way through the Best Maple Menu Contest: a month-long culinary competition where local restaurants showcase their most creative maple-infused dishes.

Last year’s champion was the crowd-favorite Phoenix House, following the maple-coated footsteps of Kaiju Kitchen and Nelly’s in years past.

Reach for the Stars with the Aim High Canines

Saturday shows at 11, 1, & 2:30
These canine stars have performed across the country, overcoming incredible odds to become champions of agility, dock diving, disc tricks, and more.

Don’t miss these four-legged performers who remind us all to “Reach for the Stars.”

Chainsaws & Craftsmanship

Watch live as John from Creative Chainsaw Art transforms wood into wonder with roaring artistry. From personalized carvings to custom farmhouse tables and laser engraving, John’s booth is where maple meets masterpiece.

Sugarhouse Tours: Saturday, April 26

Hop on the bus and head into the heart of Maple Country.

Departing from Church and Bishop Streets, these guided tours give you a behind-the-scenes look at Vermont’s sweetest tradition:

Meet the makers, sip fresh syrup, and hear stories from multi-generational maple masters.

All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast

April 26 & 27 | 7 am – Noon | St. Albans City School
Join the Swanton-Missisquoi Valley Lions Club for a hearty, maple-covered breakfast that supports local community projects. We’re talking pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries, coffee, milk, and—of course—PURE Vermont Maple Syrup.

FREE Live Entertainment All Weekend

Main Street Stage

The Fiddler’s Variety Show at BFA Performing Arts Center ($7 Admission) – An evening of toe-tapping tunes from Vermont and Canadian fiddlers.

Craft & Specialty Food Show:

Free Admission | BFA Gym, 71 S. Main St.
Explore over 60 vendors featuring handmade jewelry, wood carvings, baked goods, candles, maple treats, books, and more. With food by Southern Smoke BBQ and live music, it’s the perfect place to shop, snack, and soak up the local vibe.

The Vermont Maple Festival Parade: Sunday, April 27 at 12 pm

Don’t miss the sweetest parade in Vermont!

Hosted by Star 92.9’s Mary Cenci and 95 Triple X’s Kwame, this iconic parade features floats, firetrucks, marching bands, clowns, scout troops, tractors, local stars, and the Maple Ambassadors. The route starts at Stebbins Street and winds its way to the north end of Federal Street.
