A Statewide Celebration of Cheese, Culture, and Culinary Adventure

Get ready to cut the cheese (and taste it, pair it, melt it, and swoon over it) because Vermont Cheese Week is back and more delicious than ever!

It’s time to celebrate Vermont Cheese Week!

Save the date! From September 6–13, 2025, the entire state of Vermont transforms into a playground for cheese lovers during this weeklong, statewide celebration of Vermont’s most iconic, beloved, and creamy creation.

Whether you’re a hardcore cheese lover, a curious foodie, or just looking for an excuse to road trip through Vermont’s rolling Green Mountains, this festival offers more cheese than you can shake a sheep at.

This isn’t your average food fest. It’s a full-bodied, flavor-packed celebration of the people, animals, and land that make Vermont cheese so legendary. There will be tastings, farm tours, exclusive dinners, pairings galore, and unforgettable experiences hosted by the state’s top cheesemakers and culinary creators.

  • Sept. 9, Reading: Spring Brook Farm Cheese Tour & Tasting with their award-winning Alpine-style cheeses
  • Sept. 10, Shelburne: Adventure Dinners Outdoor Cheese Feast at the iconic Shelburne Farms
  • Sept. 10, Montpelier: Artisan Cheese + Cocktail Pairing at Barr Hill Distillery
  • Sept. 10, Bellows Falls: Family-Style Feast spotlighting local cheese at Harvest Barn Inn

The Vermont Cheese Council is a member-driven nonprofit organization that champions over 40 cheesemakers statewide. From tiny farmsteads to nationally celebrated producers, our members make the cheese, and we help them share it with the world.
