Lama Tenzin Sand Mandala of Compassion — Canceled
Due to health limitations, Lama Tenzin is unable to join River Gallery School and Brattleboro Museum and Art Center for the Sand Mandala of Compassion. We hold him in our thoughts and wish him well. I
Inspired by his work and the mandala’s teachings on impermanence and the interconnectedness of all things, RGS and BMAC are honored to offer a new collaborative program in that same spirit, Renewal: From Collage to Compost.
This experience is available to groups of six or more by appointment from April 8–June 15. No Drop-ins.
In a 1 ½ hour visit at both RGS and BMAC, participants will contribute to a collaborative torn-paper collage, try their hand at papermaking, and take home a sheet of handmade paper embedded with local pollinator seeds — ready to plant in your garden or windowsill and watch new life emerge. Groups will enjoy a tour of BMAC’s current exhibitions.
With support from the Vermont Arts Council, busing will be free on a first-come, first-served basis, so please reach out soon!
In the spirit of the mandala — may what we create together be offered with compassion, released with gratitude, and renewed in the living world.
