Remote winter cabin camping

Merck Forest & Farmland Center is a nonprofit working farm and forest in Rupert, Vermont. There are 9 remote camping cabins just waiting for you!

The cabins at Merck Forest are perfect for a rustic, back-country getaway.  They are suitable for families and for people with dogs.

The cost to rent one of the Merck Forest cabins ranges anywhere from $55 to $100 per night and on weekends there is a two-night minimum stay.

The cabins are delightfully rustic, but they’re not completely without amenities. Most importantly, cabins feature a wood-burning stove and plenty of firewood.

Be prepared to hike anywhere from .5 to 2.5 miles from the Visitor Center to your camping cabin.

Be sure to check out the farm on your way in. There are horses, pigs, and sheep to visit with!
